The world lost one of its sweetest souls.

Barbara Capaldi, 94, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peace fully at the age of 94. Born in 1931 as a first-generation American, Barbara grew up cherishing the values of family, compassion, and resilience. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, John F Capaldi.

Her life was a testament to unconditional love and selflessness. Barbara devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family, always placing their wellbeing above her own with grace and quiet strength. She raised her four children with a steady hand and an open heart, instilling in them the importance of love, integrity, and togetherness.

In 1969, Barbara suffered the unimaginable loss of her six-year-old son, David, who lost his battle with asthma. Though this heartbreak remained with her for the rest of her life, she carried her grief with quiet courage and found strength in her love for her family. She honored David's memory through her unwavering devotion to those she loved, ensuring that joy, kindness, and warmth continued to fill her home.

As her family grew, so did Barbara's joy. She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Patty Ann and Michael Trant of Bristol; John and Alanna Capaldi of North Providence; and Betsy and Robert Kunz of Warwick. She also leaves behind seven cherished granddaughters: Loren, Lindsey, Kimberly, Anna, Pamela, Emma, and LJ; and five great-grandchildren: Nadia, Noah, Violet, Jamnes, and Winslow. To Barbara, each family member was a precious gift, and she celebrated their milestones with pride and unwavering support.

Barbara was also a passionate animal lover who cared deeply for all crea tures, great and small. Her home was a haven for pets, and her compassion extended beyond her family to every living being she encountered.

Her warmth, wisdom, and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She had a rare ability to make others feel at ease and ofered comfort and encouragement to everyone who crossed her path. Her legacy is one of love, generosity, and a life well-lived.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
