Travis John Tripp passed away March 15, 2025.

We are heartbroken over the passing of our most beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend Travis. On March 15, 2025, Travis peacefully passed away while in the Rhode Island Hospital at the young age of 35 years old.

Travis was born on October 11, 1989 in Brooklyn New York. When he was just a little boy he moved to Westerly, Rhode Island. There he was raised by is maternal grandmother and grew up with his brother Shakai, his uncles Tarik, Tomain, Shamel, and Jakeem and his cousins Damione and Latoya.

Travis loved to joke around. He was one of the funniest, and sincerest people you could ever meet. In 2022 Travis met the love of his life Iesha Santos and they remained together until his untimely death. Travis worked in the food service industry. He loved his job and when he wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, watching sports, and playing with his dog named Blessing. Travis was all about family and that’s what he came to cherish the most, his family. Even with his short time on earth he made an impression on everyone he met.

We find comfort in knowing that one day we will see Travis again under better circumstances. Until then we will continue to honor and remember him through our shared experiences and the love, we have for him which will never die.

Travis was preceded in death by his mother Denise Tripp.

He is survived by his son Trayvon, his significant other Iesha Santos, his grandmother Linda Tripp, his brother Shakai Tripp, his 2 sisters Raven Moorer and Diamond Bell, his “auntie” Des (Desiree Stephens), his uncles, David Tripp, Mandell Tripp, Tarik Montgomery, Tomain Montgomery, Shamel Montgomery, and Jakeem Montgomery, his great-aunts Dean Irick and Diane Shuler, his aunt in-laws Melissa and Anna, and a host of cousins and great cousins.

Calling hours Sunday March 30 from 12pm-2pm at Skeffington Funeral Home and Cremations, 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence.
