Phillip Blaine Kelly, 77, of Cranston, ended his journey on this earth and was called home to be with Jesus on March 4th, 2024.
At the time of his death Phil was living in Cranston Rhode Island where he was recently retired from ESP eyewear the company that he created and was able to expand in very little time.
This was one of the many traits Dad had where he was able to bring so much to any situation. His infectious personality always brought people close to him along with numerous friendships along the way. Phil loved spending time with his family and it was always hard for him to say goodbye when it was time to leave.
Phil was diagnosed 2 years ago with Parkinsons and Lewy Body Dementia. We saw this disease slowly take our dad away from us sometimes in small increments and then sometimes in large strides. Near the end when this disease was at its worst, we would see signs of our dad shine through it all. These glimpses were great and we treasured every one of them, especially when we saw him carry on conversations with people and want to go out to eat or travel to a place he had visited before. Dad never gave up on life and wanted to live it to the fullest and cherish every minute of it.
We will greatly miss our dad but know he is in heaven with loved ones and he will be waiting for us.
Phil is survived in life by his two brothers Jim Kelly and Bruce Kelly (Mary), his three children Kellie Glover (Wade), Kameron Kelly (Robin) and Kody Kelly (Samantha). Granddaughters Payten Glover and Isabella Kelly, Grandsons Andrew Kelly, Charles Joshua Kelly, and Ryan Kelly.
Arrangements entrusted to the J.F. Skeffington Funeral Home and Cremations, 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence.
