David Hosobuchi, 58, passed away unexpectedly on January 30th, 2025, peacefully at his home in Providence, Rhode Island.
He was the beloved husband to Jenniter Formoso for 24 years, brother to Midori Hosobuchi and Mei Lin Wolff, and was son to the late Yoshio Hosobuchi and Susan Burger.
David was born August 3rd, 1966, in Chicago, Illinois and raised in San Rafael, California. Growing up in Marin County, David developed a longstanding love for skiing and nature, and an interest in science. David graduated from San Rafael High School in 1984. He soon pursued his interests in cooking, working as a chef at several local restaurants. David will also be sorely missed in Oakland, California where he lived with his wife for many years.
David was active in the Epilepsy community, becoming the director of BrainTalk Communities for many years.
A memorial service will be held in his longtime home in the San Francisco Bay area in April.
