Robert Paul Eugene Washington, also known as Bobby was born on January 21st of 1939 in Pawtucket, RI. He passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025 at the Summit Commons Rehabilitation located on the Eastside of Providence, RI.

Robert was the son of the late Mildred Jackson Washington and Howard Washington. Robert was the oldest of 7 siblings, leaving behind Beverly Sostre of Rhode Island, Valarie Gray and Errol Dixon of Georgia.

Robert leaves behind 4 children: the late Robin Ann Washington, Raymond Seeley / Washington, Robert Washington, Jr. and Rachel Seeley/ Washington. 

Robert served in the US Army with an Honorable discharge in 1964. Robert took pride in shining shoes as a teen. Robert worked at Colliers Bakery on Broad Street, Washington Park in Providence back in the 80-90’s. 

Robert loved playing the spoons for his family and friends. He loved cooking every Sunday, and watching western movies. He was a fan of watching football with his favorite team being the New England Patriots. 

He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, grandchildren, cousins and many friends.

Services will be held on Sunday February 2nd, 2025 at Skeffington Funeral Home and Cremations located at 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, RI 02909 with a repast to follow at the Knight of Columbus Hall located at 20 Claremont Street, Central Falls RI 02863.
