Richard A. Church, 55, of Providence, RI, a skilled carpenter and painter of over 30 years, passed away Monday, April 22, 2024 after a short battle with cancer.
He was the loving partner of the late Rosemarie Sidlik. Lifelong resident of Providence, he was the son of the late Edward (Teddy) Soltys and the late Julia Church (Micielli).
He leaves 4 children, Ashley Fiske and her husband Robert of Smithfield; Kayla Church of Woonsocket; Krystle Ellis (Sidlik) and her husband James of Providence; and Dennis Sidlik of Providence. He also leaves his sister Dawn Fague (Church) of Johnston and 8 grandchildren, Joshua, Taziya, George, James, Dennis, Dominic, Deniel, and Alycia.
He was the life of the party everywhere he went. He loved music and dancing. He was very kind-hearted and would help anyone who needed it. He loved to joke around and make people laugh. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
Viewing Saturday, April 27th from 9-11am in the Skeffington Funeral Home and Cremations, 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1130am in St Thomas Church 65 Fruit Hill Avenue Providence.
Burial will be private.
