u.s. flag Everett A. Travisono age 93 passed away July 12, 2021 surrounded by his loving wife ( Claire L. Stearns) and his immediate family at the Veteran's Home in Bristol, RI. He is survived by his two sons, Robert A. Travisono of Providence and Richard A. Travisono and his wife Susanne of Johnston. He was the father of the late Joseph A. Travisono. Everette was the proud "Poppa" of Robert, Joseph and Madison Travisono and the great grandfather to Sophia, Joseph Chiara and Cristiano. He was also the brother of the late Anthony P. Travisono.

Everett was born in Providence, the son of the late Antonio and Elisa ( DePasquale) Travisono. He attended Mt. Plesant High School where he was very active in sports as the Captain of the football team and member of the wrestling team. He joined the Army and served our country during the Korean War.

Everett graduated from Providence College, and easily became a well-known respected businessman. He founded the Mt Pleasant Credit Union in the 1980's with his longtime friend William A. Babin, where they both worked for Nationwide Insurance.

Everett was in local politics and worked for the City of Providence under the Joseph Doorley administration. He also went on to work for the State of Rhode Island Department of Administration, as Chief of the General Services for over 20 years.

Upon his retirement Everett and his wife Honey vacationed at their winter home in West Palm Beach, Florida and summered back in RI spending time with their family, beloved grandchildren and his many close friends. He will be missed by the numerous family members, friends and people whose lives he touched over the years.

Visiting hours Thursday July 15th from 10am-12pm in the J. F Skeffington Funeral Home 925 Chalkstone Avenue Providence, Rhode Island followed by interment in St Ann Cemetery Cranston.
