Eddie was a mentor to me, his easy humble love was demonstrable just being near him. I’ve met very few people in this world whose love could be felt just by being in the same room, but Eddie certainly was that. I wish I had told him better what he did, I’ll regret this and learn from it. Heaven is richer but we are certainly poorer without his presence. I’ll deeply miss that he is no longer here. My hope is for enough time to pass for y’all that his memory will no longer bring the pain of his loss..

To the family and many friends who knew and loved Eddie, I was just starting to get to know him a little after knowing of him for years without really knowing him much personally. During the past year, I had the pleasure to talk to Eddie on quite a few occasions and enjoyed his friendly smile and his words of wisdom. I know he will be greatly missed by many who he helped throughout the years. I am very sad to learn of his passing and wish life had permitted Eddie more time to share talking to me. He was known as a man of great wisdom. He was a definite inspiration to many people, and he had a special way of making you feel cared about without even needing to utter a word. All he had to do was flash a smile your way, and give a wave of his hand and you could feel the warmth and see the genuine caring person he was. My heart goes out to the people who were the closest to him, because I know how much he was loved, honored, and respected by many who knew him. May God comfort the family and friends during this sorrowful time and bring each and every one peace and serenity to know that Eddie's memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who loved him. I'm sure Eddie memory will never be forgotten as the kindhearted loving person he was. with love and my deepest condolences.

I always thought of Aunt Millie’s brood as my other family. Growing up together on different sides of the same house on Hooper Place, all sleeping on the third floor, I always thought of Eddie, Jackie and Terry as my big brothers. I so loved getting together with him for lunch whenever I would be back in RI. How we would laugh out loud about surviving the nuns at BS. I happened to have been in Norway when I read of his passing. We lost him on the same day that I first saw the Northern Lights. There was definitely a connection being made there coming from the heavens. I will miss you tremendously big brother. I’ll look forward to seeing you again on the other side of the house.

"We stood on the shoulders of giants..."and Eddie was one of those giants. He will be sorely missed. I had the pleasure of being a guest speaker with him, and thank God I went first. He was and always will be a tough act to follow. Now he's crossed the final sacred threshold, and is being welcomed home with open arms.
