Deborah D. Davis, was born in Witchita, Texas on October 10, 1953 to the late George Edward Davis and the late Earline A. Davis.

Deborah lived in many places like Virginia, Texas, California, Providence, RI, due to her father's service in the military. She eventually moved to New Jersey and settled in Newark where she raised her four children and assisted in raising many others.

Deborah was a goal-oriented person and would accomplish anything she set her mind to do. Once her children were adults she moved back to Rhode Island and eventually became the successful owner of "JUST FOR YOU FLORIST" in Providence for many years.

Deborah was known to many as "China Doll" for her flawless beauty. She loved traveling, gardening, making beautiful creations with flowers, and being with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She enjoyed shopping, which was evident when you saw her, because she was always dressed to impress.

On Sunday, January 11, 2015 she passed away at Good Samaritan Medical Center located in Brockton, Massachusetts.

She leaves to cherish her memories her four children, Andrea (Tracy) Brown of Atlanta, GA, Lawrence Souza, Jr. of Hillside, NJ, Eric Souza of Newark, NJ, Nicole (Achebe) Johnson of Fayetteville, NC; four siblings, two brothers, Michael (Barbara) Davis and Timothy Davis, two sisters, Jacqueline Curtis and Michelle Franco, all of Rhode Island; 20 Grandchildren, 14 Great-grandchildren, 3 nieces, 5 nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

Visiting hours for Deborah will be in the J.F. Skeffington Chapel, 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence on Friday, January 23rd, from 11 AM to 1 PM, with her funeral service at 1 PM. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, North Main Street, Providence.
